Best Purchases of 2024
I feel like I bought a lot of things this year, so I'll introduce the things I found worth buying. (There are many daily convenient items.)
When I checked my Amazon history, it showed 96 purchases this year... Thank you to the delivery drivers as always.
1. Muji Dial Kitchen Timer
It sticks with a magnet, so I have it on the refrigerator.
The side has a dial, and you can quickly set the timer just by rotating it, making it very easy.
The simple design is also good.
2. Lazysong Champagne Stopper
There is a theory that the things I've used before were somewhat lacking...
(The previous ones either couldn't fit in the fridge after sealing or weren't sealing properly...)
This one meets all the necessary criteria and has a solid feeling of sealing which is good.
Also, it’s good that it can be used for both wine and champagne.
3. Dyson Hair Dryer
This is something I can highly recommend.
As expected from Dyson, the airflow is incredible. It feels like they brought all their vacuum cleaner knowledge into this hair dryer.
My time spent drying hair has been cut in half.
(Especially for my daughter's hair, which is quite long and took quite some time to dry.)
It does cost a bit, but it’s definitely worth buying.
4. Paper Pot Tissue Case Holder
A stylish-shaped tissue case holder.
When placed, it’s quite large, but its shape doesn’t immediately look like a tissue holder, so it looks nice on the dining table.
I believe there were also plenty of colors available.
5. Yamazaki Hook Bath Chair
Bathroom chairs gradually get moldy, and it becomes scary to look at the underside.
If there is a contact area with the floor, mold will inevitably grow from there, but this product can be hung on a laundry pole in the bath, so that concern seems to be alleviated.
I don't think it will be completely mold-free, but at least it seems like it could slow down the rate.
6. Sansan Sponge
A sponge that doesn’t wear out at all.
I’ve been using this for about 4 or 5 years, and I think each one lasts about a year.
Stress-free. Highly recommended.
7. Beard Hair Removal
Since my skin is prone to razor burn, I generally don’t want to shave.
Actually, I’ve had hair removal a few times during my university days, but I was nearly overcharged during one session, and I haven’t gone since.
I remember that procedure was quite painful, but over 10 years have passed since then, and I hoped that advances in technology would make it less painful, so I went to a different clinic (SBC).
However, it was still painful lol
In modern times, anesthetic cream is available, which seems to have reduced the pain slightly (but it’s been too long to make a comparison...).
Gradually, the beard should be disappearing, and that means the pain should also decrease over time, so I feel mentally okay about it.
By the way, it seems the effects of my hair removal from over a decade ago are still lingering, and just going for about 4 or 5 more sessions this time, it has hardly grown back.
Probably after another 2 or 3 times, it will be completely gone.
Considering the rest of my life, it’s an excellent cost performance. The best.
That's all for this year! Please let me know about your best buys too!
